Q: Are Greenland products natural?
We are committed to using natural, organic ingredients from sustainable resources with all our products. When nature cannot offer us ingredients we need for organic skin care, we use safe synthetic alternatives that are developed with the most modern techniques and research conceivable.
Q: Are Greenland products safe?
Yes, all of our body care products are safe to use. We do not take any risks when it comes to the health and well-being of the consumer. All products and ingredients meet the latest requirements and standards necessary for body use.
Q: What is Greenland’s environmental policy?
All of our products meet strict quality and environmental standards. We are continuously committed to using natural materials that won’t harm the environment or your skin.
Q: Do Greenland products contain ingredients from animal origin?
At Greenland, our policy is to not use ingredients that are obtained from dead animal matter, and this extends to every skin care product we offer. However, in some Greenland products, we use a small amount of ingredients from animal origin, such as lanolin (wool fat) and beeswax (cera alba) due to the unique properties of these substances. These ingredients are not used in all of Greenland's products, though, and should be considered a small portion of the ingredients used in our skin care products. For more details, we advise you to take a look at the list of ingredients on each package.
Q: Does Greenland conduct animal experiments?
No, we never test our products on animals and we have no animals tested by third parties. We believe that there are sufficient, safe, effective, high quality ingredients available without having to use animal experiments.
Q: Are Greenland products dermatologically tested?
Yes, all of Greenland's products are dermatologically tested by independent laboratories. These laboratories are subject to strict ethical guidelines and our products are only tested on healthy volunteers.
Q: Do you have samples available?
We receive many emails with the question of whether we can send out some mini versions of our products. Unfortunately, we cannot meet these requests. When visiting one of our stores, you may test and try our products yourself by asking for samples. Are you placing an order on our website and you would like to receive a sample from a specific skin care product? Please indicate this in the comment section while ordering. We will try to take your request into account as much as possible.
Q: When I order online, will there be some samples included?
We always try to add some samples when we're wrapping up your order, but unfortunately this is not always possible. For example, when it's busy during the holidays, we don't always have the resources to send out body care samples. If you would like to receive a specific sample of a product, you can indicate this in the comment section while ordering. Please keep in mind that we cannot make a sample of every skin care product in our ranges.
Q: What is the expiration date of Greenland products?
The law provides that, when a product has a shelf life shorter than 30 months, there should be an indication of the expiration date on the package. Since March 11, 2005 it is legally required to place the PAO (Period After Opening) symbol on the package when a product has a shelf life longer than 30 months. This makes it clear how long you can keep using the skin care product after opening the package. The shelf life is tested during the development of a product, according to internationally accepted methods. For most of our unopened products, we guarantee a minimum shelf life of 30 months and we indicate the PAO symbol on this product. On a limited number of products with shorter shelf life, we mention the expiry date.
Q: Are there glutens in Greenland products?
On the packaging of all Greeland products, there is a list of ingredients. These ingredients are indicated on the label with their INCI-name. INCI-names are internationally standardized names for ingredients that are used in cosmetics. You will find information regarding glutens here.
Q: What is the percentage of natural ingredients in Greenland products?
Although most Greenland skin care products feature a high percentage of natural ingredients, the percentage greatly differs per product.
Q: Which Greenland products are NOT suitable for vegans?
The body butters and hand creams from balm & butter, fruit emotions, fruit extracts and milky are not suitable for vegans. All other Greenland skin care products are suitable for vegans.
Q: Can I store my Greenland products in the fridge?
Yes, you surely can store your Greenland products in the fridge. Since some of our products are quite liquid, they have the tendency of becoming even softer during high temperatures. With warm weather, it is wise to keep the products away from the light/sun source or in the fridge.
Q: What are the shipping rates when I order?
Orders delivered within the Netherlands cost €5.95 (VAT included) unless you order for more than € 50 (VAT included) worth of skin care products. In this case, you do not have to pay shipping costs.

Q: What is the freight tariff (shipping costs) for shipment outside The Netherlands?
The freight tariff for Belgium and Luxemburg is €10,50. For orders > € 100,00 we will charge no shipping costs.
The freight tariff for (EU1 countries) Germany, France, Denmark, Sweden, United Kingdom, Austria, Spain and Italy is € 15,50. For orders > € 100,00 we will charge no shipping costs.
The freight tariff for (EU2 countries) Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Ccech Republic is € 20,50.
The freight tariff for (EU3 countries) Albania, Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Greece, Greenland, Iceland, Croatia, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Norway, Ukraine, San Marino, Turkey, and Switzerland is € 21,50.

Q: When will I receive my order?
We try to send out orders within 1 day after receiving your payment. It mainly depends on the destination of your order, because shipping times vary per country. Ordering within the Netherlands? It usually takes about two days to receive your order. Outside the Netherlands? It will, of course, take a bit longer.
Q: What if I want to return a product?
If you are not satisfied with a product and you want to return it, you must do this within 14 days after receiving. You will have to pay for the shipping costs of returning the goods. Please let us know when you are returning the products before shipping, because we must know that you're returning goods. Keep in mind that the skin care products themselves should be unopened, unused and undamaged. You will get your money back within five days after we have received the products.
Q: What about privacy?
Your personal details will only be used for the execution of your order and will not be given to others without your permission.

Q: Why is Greenland Milky Shower Foam propellant free, although butane is one of its ingredients?
The packaging of the shower foam consists of a bag containing the product and around that bag, a propellant is being used to push the product out. Normally this propellant is a gas, such as propane or butane, but for the shower foam this is compressed air. Inside the product we dissolve a little bit of gas so that when the product comes out, it immediately starts to foam. This gas is not used as propellant but as foaming agent, which is why we can justify that the shower foam is propellant free.
