Treat your senses, NATURALLY

Established in 1990, Greenland is wholly dedicated to developing bath and body care products based on natural and organic ingredients.

With fruit extracts, essential oils, milkies and natural butters, Greenland products protect and care for your skin, while seriously treating your senses. They're natural to the core and extensively tested, though never on animals.

The Greenland brand is currently exported to more than 35 different countries all over the world and is a part of the award winning Berkeley Square London group of companies. Although in English hands, the products are still produced in and exported from the Netherlands.

The Greenland story: How it all began

Dutchman Jan-Willem van Kempen, a former forestry student, loves and understands nature and all things natural. His love of nature inspired him to start inventing aromatherapy body care products. He became founder and creator of Greenland, initially making seasonal gift sets together with his wife at the kitchen table in their home in the Hague, the Netherlands.

The first Greenland range was called 'Out of the blue'. Jan-Willem himself admits that these products were way ahead of their time, but that's exactly what he wanted: to move away from the earthy organic image and make organic products accessible to all. 'Out of the blue', like Jan-Willem, was progressive and innovative. Since then, Greenland has become famous all over the world for its exiting and pioneering collections.

Greenland grew so rapidly between 1990 and 2002 that Jan-Willem and his wife had to move five times. In 2001 the decision was taken to outsource production to established cosmetics producers. Despite now being an international brand sold in more than 35 countries, all Greenland products are still made in the Netherlands and Belgium. Greenland's stock is just a stone's throw away from the port of Amsterdam where products are shipped all over the world. But it's still like old times when a large order arrives unexpectedly and gift sets are assembled at a table reminding us of our humble beginnings: making beautiful and delicate products at Jan-Willem's kitchen table.
